Professional Services Firm Appoints Duo To Two Private Client Practices

UK-based professional services firm EY has appointed two new members to its private client services practice, as it looks to bolster its family office services.

Jim Medeiros has joined the firm as a tax partner in Boston and will lead the New England private client services practice. Jose Martinez has joined he practice as executive director of its Atlanta, Florida office, the firm said in a statement yesterday.

Medeiros has more than 24 years’ experience providing tax planning advice to high net and ultra-high net worth individuals and families. Prior to EY, he spent 17 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he served as a partner in the personal financial services practice.

Martinez was previously the tax director for Axiall Corporation, a position he had held since 2014. Prior to Axiall, he worked at PwC for four years where he became a director in tax.
